As an artist I create fictional realities that influence the ways people feel the world. I'm interested in the process of the city landscape transformation. I structure my poetry from various media. With tools of printmaking, drawing, and interventions in the public realm, I investigate the movements of the city and recreate these movements. With photography and video, I'm engaged to discover 'improbable' images: those beauties that inhabit the crevices of everyday life. My work is focused on the fictionalization of phenomena of the city. In this sense, the shadow of the overpass's railing becomes drawing; a puddle becomes a projection screen; a group of buildings turns into clouds; the air of Belo Horizonte city becomes a souvenir. This is creating an “as if”, a chance for fiction, a space for poetry.
